Wei Yi defeated Yu Yangyi 3-1 to win the 2026 China Chess King Tournament in Chengdu.
The four-game rapid final gave Wei three points and Yu one. The official final table placed them first and fourth in the four-player championship stage.
Ding Liren took third place by beating Haowen Xue 2.5-1.5 in the parallel four-game match.
The final stage used a 15-minute time control with a 10-second increment from move one.
