Francisco Fiorito wins 2026 Andorra Open with 7.5/9
Seven wins and a final-round victory produced sole first place, half a point ahead of a four-player group.
Francisco Fiorito won the 42nd Andorra Open with 7.5/9, finishing half a point clear of four players on seven points.
Fiorito scored seven wins, one draw and one loss. He entered the last round level for first and took sole first place by winning his final game while the other overnight co-leader drew.
The nine-round international open was played in Escaldes-Engordany from July 18–26. ChessEver’s earlier Andorra Open coverage focused on a first WGM norm and a 7/9 finish.
