Twelve champions crowned at 2026 Asian Youth Chess Championships

The 28th Asian Youth Chess Championships concluded its nine-round Standard competition in Shenzhen with champions crowned across 12 boys’ and girls’ sections. Eight titles—including Boys Under 16—were decided on tiebreak, while Girls Under 14 produced one of the four clear-point winners.

Boys’ champions

• Boys Under 8: Truong Phuc Nhat Nguyen, 8/9 • Boys Under 10: Adilbek Adinur, 7.5/9 • Boys Under 12: Tulegen Ramazan, 7.5/9 • Boys Under 14: Kakavand Ramtin, 7/9 • Boys Under 16: Puzyrevsky Semyon, 7/9 • Boys Under 18: Volkov Maksim, 6.5/9

Girls’ champions

• Girls Under 8: Saiaastha Singh, 7/9 • Girls Under 10: Zhu Jiahe, 7.5/9 • Girls Under 12: Yunker Alisa Genrietta, 7/9 • Girls Under 14: Maitreyi Mondal, 7.5/9 • Girls Under 16: Tong Yiyi, 7.5/9 • Girls Under 18: Ton Nu Quynh Duong, 7.5/9

Russia led the individual medal table with three gold medals. Vietnam collected the most individual medals with 10 and led the team competition with six category titles.
