FIDE lifts restrictions on Belarus Chess Federation
Belarusian players and national teams will again compete under their national flag at FIDE events.

FIDE has lifted all restrictions previously imposed on the Belarus Chess Federation, effective immediately.
The FIDE Council said the decision follows a May recommendation from the International Olympic Committee, which no longer recommends restrictions on Belarusian athletes or teams in international competition.
Belarusian players and official teams will now participate in FIDE events under the national flag of Belarus.
The first major events under the change will be the FIDE Chess Olympiad for People with Disabilities and the FIDE Chess Olympiad, both scheduled for September in Samarkand.
