Javokhir Sindarov takes lead in FIDE Circuit race
The latest official update changed the open leaderboard with the September Total Chess cutoff approaching.

Javokhir Sindarov has overtaken Nodirbek Abdusattorov at the top of the FIDE Circuit 2026–2027 after winning both the rapid and blitz sections of the Naroditsky Memorial.
The official leaderboard dated August 3 gives Sindarov 75.28 points and Abdusattorov 65.64. Sindarov’s total currently includes five tournaments, while Abdusattorov’s includes four.
Wesley So moved to fourth after adding 7.5 points in Charlotte, while Haik Martirosyan climbed to sixth after his runner-up finish at the Open International d’Aix-en-Provence. Alireza Firouzja and Arjun Erigaisi also entered the top 10 after their July results.
The top three in the open standings on September 1 will qualify for the Total Chess pilot event. In the women’s Circuit, Bibisara Assaubayeva remains the leader.
