Nigeria and India split the six category titles at the FIDE World Amateur Blitz Chess Championship in Abuja. The event was played over 11 Swiss-system rounds at a 3+2 time control.

Odafe Benedict Efemuai won the U2300 Open title with 8/11. FIDE's final report places him third overall, behind Shejal Sahil Sanjay, who scored 9/11 and also took the U2000 Open title.

The other category champions were Saket Kumar in U1700 Open, Rani Puja in U1700 Women, Omoruyi Sandra Osarugue in U2000 Women and Asanga Nsisong in U2300 Women.

The blitz championship ran from August 6 to 7 as the second half of the FIDE World Amateur Rapid & Blitz Championships, organized jointly by FIDE and the Nigeria Chess Federation.
