A 1.5–0.5 first-round match win sent the 13th seed into the quarterfinals in Vichy.

Maia Arzur eliminated Deimante Daulyte-Cornette 1.5–0.5 in the opening round of the 2026 French Women’s Championship, advancing to the quarterfinals in Vichy.

The first game ended in a draw with Daulyte-Cornette playing White. Arzur then won the return game with White to complete the match victory.

Arzur entered the 16-player knockout as the 13th seed with a 2186 rating. Daulyte-Cornette, the 2024 French champion, was seeded second at 2402.
