Cairns Cup announces elite 10-player field for 2026
The 2026 Cairns Cup will feature a 10-player elite women’s field competing for a $250,000 prize fund in Saint Louis from August 8–21.
The 2026 Cairns Cup will bring 10 elite women players to Saint Louis from August 8–21, with a $250,000 prize fund.
The field is Humpy Koneru, Tan Zhongyi, Anna Muzychuk, Bibisara Assaubayeva, Divya Deshmukh, Alexandra Kosteniuk, defending champion Carissa Yip, Stavroula Tsolakidou, Vaishali Rameshbabu, and Alice Lee.
The sixth edition will be a nine-round classical round robin at the Saint Louis Chess Club, running alongside the Sinquefield Cup.
