Adam Kozak won the 2026 Biel Chess Festival Rapid Open, taking first place in the official final classification after a three-way tie on 7.5/9.
The Hungarian grandmaster finished unbeaten with six wins and three draws. His round-eight victory over the player who ultimately placed second proved decisive before he closed the tournament with a draw.
The nine-round rapid tournament brought together 170 players. Kozak was ranked first on tiebreak in the final table.
