Vaclav Finek wins Biel Challengers rapid with 8 points

Vaclav Finek won the Challengers rapid stage at the 59th Biel International Chess Festival with 8 points from five games.

Finek finished one point clear of the two nearest challengers, who each scored 7. The rapid stage awards two points for a win and one for a draw.

The result gives Finek the early lead in the Challengers triathlon before the classical and blitz stages.
