Peter Acs leads the Biel Chess Festival Master Open with 4.5/5 after five rounds. The Hungarian grandmaster is half a point ahead of 11 players.
Xeniya Balabayeva joined the chasing group on 4/5 after defeating Krishnan Sasikiran in round five. The result was the round’s biggest rating upset.
Round six is scheduled for July 18.
