Praggnanandhaa finishes Saint Louis rapid first on 12/18
The rapid leader held a one-point advantage after nine rounds despite a final-round loss.
Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu finished the rapid section of the 2026 Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz alone in first on 12/18, one point ahead of Javokhir Sindarov.
Praggnanandhaa entered the final round on 12 points after beating Vincent Keymer in Round 8. Jorden van Foreest then handed him his first loss of the rapid event, but Sindarov drew Wesley So and finished on 11.
The event continues with 18 rounds of blitz over the next two days, with the rapid points carrying into the overall standings. The Day 2 report covered the leader's 9/12 start through six rounds.
